Powerserv works with a wide range of critical infrastructure clients including private hospitals, district health boards, data centres, New Zealand Government and military sites, power providers, local councils, water and wastewater plants and many private clients such as the dairy and poultry sector.
A generator contains multiple systems that traditionally require several trades to maintain. A diesel mechanic is needed for the engine, a motor and generator winder for the alternator, an electrician for electrical connections and an automation technician for the control systems.
Powerserv brings all of these skills together in one company. With our nationwide team of trained generator technicians we provide expert service and advice for installations, maintenance, modifications, fault finding and analysis.
Powerserv generators are sourced from our partners in the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia. We select the best combination of engines, alternators and control systems to suit your exact requirements. Every generator we supply comes from respected global brands to ensure proven quality and long term reliability.
The Powerserv team brings decades of generator and Emergency Power System installation experience. From the generator itself to exhaust systems, airflow management, fuel systems and electrical integration, we cover every element required for a safe and fully operational installation. You can rely on us to deliver a complete and professional setup from start to finish.
Powerserv has developed class leading systems that allow for robust, standardised maintenance programmes and comprehensive load testing. Our trained generator technicians are trusted by major institutions, government agencies and critical infrastructure clients. We ensure your equipment is maintained to the highest standard for reliability and performance.
With our qualified technicians, specialist tools and extensive knowledge base, we can test, audit and report on the health of your Emergency Power System. This provides full confidence that your system will operate as required during a power outage. Our testing services offer clear insight into the condition and readiness of your equipment.
Our call centre, technicians and management staff are available twenty four hours a day. We recognise that system outages can occur at any time and many issues can be addressed immediately. Testing of critical systems is also sometimes required outside normal hours, and we are fully equipped to support these needs.
We offer what we believe is one of New Zealand’s most comprehensive monitoring solutions. This includes our own call centre as well as web based and app based monitoring that operate together. With Powerserv you can rest assured that your equipment is constantly supervised and in reliable hands.
Powerserv can organise the IQP certification required for your BWOF under section SS14.1. This covers your generator installation in accordance with the NZS6104:1981 standard, which is the required specification for emergency electrical supply in buildings. Our team will ensure the entire process is completed correctly and efficiently so your site remains compliant.
Emergency Power Systems have advanced significantly in recent years, yet the maintenance and management of them has not always kept pace. An EPS is made up of many components including the generator, its fuel supply, exhaust and airflow systems, and the electrical control and transfer equipment.
These systems remain idle for long periods while constantly monitoring the power supply, yet they must operate instantly and correctly the moment an outage occurs. Regular operation, testing and ongoing monitoring are essential to give every part of the system the best chance of performing as required.
PowerServ supports essential operations throughout New Zealand with reliable generator systems, automatic emergency power solutions and specialist maintenance services. The sectors below represent some of the most common industries we work with, but they are by no means the limit of what we can deliver. Any sector that relies on dependable or automatic emergency power systems can trust PowerServ to provide the expertise, installation quality and ongoing support required to keep operations running without interruption.
Powerserv works closely with transportation companies to modernise and maintain their critical fleet of undercarriage generators. With trucks constantly on the road and refrigeration required twenty four hours a day for long haul journeys, we ensure dependable power for every kilometre travelled.
Powerserv supports district health boards throughout New Zealand by monitoring, maintaining and providing assured emergency response to some of the largest and most critical healthcare sites in the country. We also deliver the same high level of service to private health institutions and rest homes, where reliable power is essential for patient welfare.
Water and wastewater services rely on pumping and processing stations located across the country. These must operate through any power outage. Powerserv is proud to assist councils and government agencies throughout New Zealand with specialist maintenance and support services for these essential systems.
